About This Event / イベントについて
Each winter, Akihabara UDX — the glass-fronted complex beside the station — transforms into a floral illumination display. The 2025-26 theme "Blooming UDX" featured glass surface decorations, a wreath arch, and floral light installations that wrapped the atrium and plaza in warm, colorful light.
The display is free and lit daily from 17:00 to 23:00, running from early December through late January. Unlike the fashionable illuminations of Omotesando or Marunouchi, Akihabara UDX pairs its lights with the buzz of Electric Town — late-night anime-goods shopping, themed-cafe visits, and the energy of the district at its busiest. The 2026-27 theme will be announced closer to the date.
