About This Event / イベントについて
Taito's Bubble Bobble turns 40 in September 2026. The nationwide Taito Station festival has been running since 22 August. The Akihabara special is Sunday 20 September, 11:00-17:00, at EXBAR TOKYO plus Akihabara on the east-west free passage, next to Taito Station Akihabara East-West Passage store. Admission is free. You do not need a ticket to walk in. You will need numbered tickets for the game demo machines.
Three titles are on demo: Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeon Boost (sold 20 August 2026), Bubble Bobble 4 Friends: The Baron is Back (2020), and Rainbow Parasol Collection, due 8 October 2026. Each title has its own numbered ticket. Bubblun greets at 11:00, 13:00, 15:00 and 16:30, about 15 minutes each, and Taito says a second familiar character joins for the first time. The press images keep that guest unnamed.
Collab drinks, Bubblun melon soda and Bobblun ramune soda, are ¥700 each with tapioca, vanilla ice cream and colour spray. They start on the 20th and run until they run out. Spend ¥500 or more at the food counter and you get a Bubble Bobble MEICA maze card of Chiyoda. Shall We Tap prepaid top-ups do not count. Pico Crepe on the same passage still sells the Sugar Dungeon Boost crepe at ¥850 through 23 September, with a sticker. A 40th pin-badge set is ¥4,950, 20 September only in the crepe shop, then on Taito Station e-store. Taito-limited wink plushes land on the crane machines at the East-West Passage store and nearby Hey2 from the 20th. Put in ¥500 and ask staff before you pay if you want the random six-kind can badge.
