Momo Neko Dou is the Akihabara branch of the ChaiNya cafe bar chain, a concept built around the fusion of Chinese dress and cat ears, known in Japanese as chai-nya. The cast, all in original chai-nya costumes, wear either mini-skirt or long versions with cat ears and tails, and the room is themed to match. The chain is operated by the Luminous Group, one of the largest anime-song bar operators in Japan, which gives the venue a polished system and clear pricing.\n\nThe pricing is built around a 60-minute all-you-can-drink set at around 2,380 yen all day, with 30-minute auto-extensions available. The drink list is broad, with beer, highballs, whisky, wine, sours, shochu, plum wine and cocktails, plus a full soft-drink line-up. Food is available as snacks to go with drinks, and the cafe operates from 6pm to 5am daily.\n\nIf you want a slightly different take on the Akihabara concept cafe, with a clearer drinks focus and a distinctive look, Momo Neko Dou is well worth a visit. Drop in for a set, take a seat at the counter, and let the chai-nya cast pour the drinks.
