Campass Akihabara

Campass Akihabara is a camping practice ground tucked under the JR railway tracks between Akihabara and Okachimachi, around a five-minute walk from Akihabara Station. Run by JRTK, it lets city dwellers and beginners experience the outdoors without leaving central Tokyo, offering rental tents, chairs, tables, cooking gear and lanterns so you can turn up empty-handed. Day-camp and full-rental plans make it easy for newcomers to practise pitching a tent and cooking outdoors, while seasoned campers can try out unfamiliar gear. A nearby Hanamasa meat store lets you pick up barbecue ingredients on the spot, and staff are on hand to help with setup, keeping the barrier to entry reassuringly low.
