NewDays KIOSK Akihabara Station Platform 6 East is a small, brightly lit convenience kiosk at the east end of the JR Sobu Line down-platform towards Chiba. It stocks hot and cold drinks, packaged snacks, newspapers, magazines and basic travel items. It is perfect for grabbing a quick refreshment or a bite to eat while waiting for the next train, and the staff are accustomed to fast commuter service. Typical opening hours follow the station timetable, though the range may narrow late at night. As the kiosk is inside the ticket gates on platform 6, you will need a valid JR ticket or platform pass to reach it. Cash, IC cards and mobile payments are generally accepted.
