Live-action game AKIBA LOST (Akihabara Lost) will go on sale on September 17, 2026. Izanagi Games, Nippon TV, and NTV AX-ON announced the date. Pre-orders for the standard physical edition opened nationwide on January 6.

A zapping adventure set in Akihabara
AKIBA LOST is a long-form live-action ensemble drama: a multi-angle suspense game. Players switch between protagonist Shinjo, a game creator, and six women as they close in on the truth of the story. The developers call the structure a zapping adventure.
The setting is Akihabara, Tokyo's subculture district. The six performers Shinjo gathers are described as the kind of distinctive personalities that stand in for Akihabara itself. That is the story's way in. Live-action footage is the spine; you change viewpoint and follow what the ensemble is hiding.
The game won the Future division of the Japan Game Awards 2025. A TV drama produced to raise the quality of the game began airing on Nippon TV's terrestrial network in January 2026.

The announced cast is Hiromitsu Kitayama, Sayuri Matsumura, Momoko Tanabe, Yui Oguri (AKB48), Azusa Ohara, MINA (East Of Eden), Aki Nishihara, Masanobu Sakata, Misato Ugaki, and Taishi Fuchigami.
The announcement does not list a full character-to-actor breakdown, including who plays Shinjo. The lineup mixes idols, actresses, and actors, which matches a live-action ensemble built around Akihabara.

A 200-page special photo art book is included. A photographer who shoots key visuals for dramas and films took stills for the game production. Cast photographs were selected from 100,000 images, unused shots included.
