A 24-day Piapro Characters takeover spread across six Akihabara stores
The Hatsune Miku Akihabara Festival 2026 runs from July 3 to July 26 across six participating stores in central Akihabara, with two main goods venues and a dedicated collab cafe. It is the second edition of the festival, and Crypton Future Media has noticeably expanded the format. New illustration work from Nagi Shiro (full-body) and Ten-nana (chibi) sets the cyberpunk tone, while a second set of cafe visuals by Tomari and Amino Mizu puts the Piapro Characters in cat-eared maid outfits.
The festival is structured as three overlapping activations rather than a single site. A stamp rally threads through six shops; a shopping bonus hands out random photo cards for every 1,000 yen spent; and the 22 Curry cafe runs a themed menu. Goods are split between AKIBA FAN CUBE and 22 Curry, with online reservations handled through COCOLLABO.
The stamp rally mechanics
Six stores across Akihabara host stamp panels. Collect four or more stamps and you can exchange them for a limited clear file featuring the new cyberpunk visual. The exchange location and full list of participating shops are published on the official COCOLLABO event page, and the recommendation is to confirm before setting out, since some stores adjust their hours on weekdays versus weekends. The rally itself is free; you only need to physically walk to each store.
Shopping bonus and goods access
At participating stores, every 1,000 yen (including tax) spent on eligible goods earns a random bonus photo card from a set of six designs. The cards use the same cyberpunk visual that anchors the festival, so they are not throwaway novelties. Goods themselves are sold at two physical venues.
The first is AKIBA FAN CUBE, open from July 3 to July 26. Weekday hours are 12:00 to 20:00, with weekend and holiday hours starting at 11:00. The second is 22 Curry, with the same dates but weekday hours from 12:00 to 21:00 and weekend hours from 12:00 to 20:00. AKIBA FAN CUBE also hosts a life-size photo panel spot, which is the main reason to start there even if you plan to buy at 22 Curry.
Online reservation window
If you cannot visit in person or want to secure specific items, COCOLLABO runs an online reservation window from July 3 at 12:00 through July 27 at 13:00. Delivery is expected in late October 2026, which is a long lead time but normal for Japanese anime goods pre-orders.
