Kamiesai's 15th-anniversary year opens at Akihabara UDX 2F AKIBA_SQUARE from Friday 18 September to Tuesday 22 September 2026. Entry is free. The dates, hours, and artist names already live on the event page. This piece is the part that page cannot hold: how the catalogue actually gets into your hands, how the Sunday talk lottery works, and why Monday's Momoko card line is a different queue from the print tables.
Reserve if you want the catalogue. Walk in if you only want to look
The hall is a print and goods fair, not a ticketed exhibition. You can walk into AKIBA_SQUARE without a booking. The 15th-anniversary catalogue is the thing that is gated. Artvivant's PR and the official schedule page both say it goes to people who reserved on the site and then showed up. The reservation form is on kamiesai.com/schedule, Tokyo (Akihabara) block, linking through to artvivant-event.jp. Print the confirmation or keep it on your phone. Staff have been handing the booklet at the door on previous tours. Treat it as a same-visit item, not something they post later.
Opening Friday is the odd day. Doors are 15:00 to 20:00, not the 11:00 start used Saturday through Monday. Tuesday 22 September, a public holiday this year, closes at 18:00. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday run 11:00 to 19:00. If you arrive at 11:00 on Friday you will be standing in the UDX atrium with nothing to do for four hours.
Sunday's talk is a paper lottery, not a web form
The illustrator talk is Sunday 20 September, 17:00, in Akihabara UDX Gallery 4F NEXT-2, one lift ride above the fair. Kantoku, Coffee Kizoku, Tinkle / Harukaze Setsuna, Fukazaki Kurehito, and Yoru no Mitsuki are listed, in Japanese syllabary order. The organiser says the lineup can change on the day.
There is no advance seat. Lottery tickets are handed at the 2F Kamiesai entrance from open until 15:00 on the 20th, or until the printed stack runs out. Winners go up on the official X account @kamiesai_AJ at 16:00. If your number is called, you have to be back at the 2F entrance by 16:15 for the escort upstairs. Miss that gathering and the ticket is paper. I would not plan a Radio Kaikan crawl between 15:00 and 16:15 on that Sunday. The talk also has a raffle. Momoko originals share the hall. Monday is the card line
The same AKIBA_SQUARE run doubles as Momoko print exhibition "bijou". Original drawings pulled from her book Analog Sketch hang with the prints. That is the reason to spend more than twenty minutes in the room even if you are not buying a numbered edition. Art Jeuness lists a limited B1 tapestry with a signed art card, while stock lasts.
Monday 21 September is the extra. Buyers of designated goods can join a Momoko original art-card handout. It is a purchase line, not a selfie session. Read artjeuness.jp/contents/911 the morning you go, because the designated SKU can change. After Akihabara the tour leaves Tokyo. Hamamatsu is 2 to 5 October. Kobe Harborland is 9 to 12 October. If you miss UDX, those are the next two Japanese stops, not another Chiyoda date.
UDX is a three-minute walk from JR Akihabara Electric Town Exit, 4-14-1 Sotokanda. The 2F square sits above the public atrium. Weekend print fairs here fill by mid-afternoon. If you want both the catalogue and a shot at the talk, reserve first, arrive at Friday 15:00 or Saturday 11:00 to shop, and keep Sunday morning free for the lottery slip.
