From Ochanomizu Station on the JR Chuo Line, take the Hijiri-bashi Exit for a 5-minute walk. From Ochanomizu Station on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line, use Exit 1. From Shin-Ochanomizu Station on the Chiyoda Line, use Exit B1. From Suehirocho Station on the Ginza Line, it is a 5-minute walk.
Admission is completely free. The festival is a walking event, so wear comfortable shoes. The hill up to the shrine is steep but short. Food stalls are limited compared to larger festivals, so plan to eat in Akihabara before or after visiting. The shrine is also the starting point for the August Kanda Shrine Anime Bon Odori Dance, a larger event that combines traditional bon dance with anime and idol performances, making the July Tanabata a quieter precursor.
