カードラボ is a trading-card shop on the ninth floor of the Akihabara Radio Kaikan, right in the centre of Akihabara's Electric Town. The shelves are packed with booster packs, single cards, deck supplies and accessories covering major TCG titles.Whether you are hunting a rare holographic card or building a tournament deck, the stock ranges from current releases to older collectibles. It is a compact but busy space, aimed mainly at Japanese collectors, though visitors can usually find familiar franchises on the racks.
Stop by early in the day to beat the crowds, and bring cash or an IC card, as smaller Akihabara card shops often prefer cash. It is a handy stop for anyone wanting a pocket-sized souvenir of the neighbourhood's gaming culture.

The shop tries to bargain down the price and purchase items for far less than their market value. They also seldom give a clear explanation for any damage.

The experience is unsatisfactory. The store unexpectedly stops buying even when the timing is appropriate, and when they do purchase, they often damage expensive cards and then drastically lower the price offered.
I visited the shop to reserve some cards. Being my first experience at a trading card store, I was unsure how the reservation process worked.
