The Kanda Myojin Urasando is the rear approach path running behind the main hall of Kanda Shrine in Sotokanda 2-chome, a short walk from Akihabara Station. Unlike the bustling front approach, this quieter lane is lined with commemorative monuments including the kouta mounds, the Zenigata Heiji stone and the Mizuno Toshikata kensho monument, celebrating figures from Edo and Meiji cultural history. The path passes behind the shrine's northern side near the Chiyoda Central Building.

Walking the urasando offers a slower, more reflective route around the shrine grounds, ideal for visitors interested in Edo-period literature, ukiyo-e and traditional music. The path is free to explore during shrine opening hours and pairs well with a visit to the shrine's cafe and amulet shop.
