Proost Tokyo is a sausage and smoked-food dining bar on the seventh floor of the HULIC and New AKIHABARA building, a three-minute walk from both Akihabara and Suehirocho stations. The kitchen makes its own additive-free sausages from scratch - casing, drying, smoking, boiling all done in-house - offering varieties inspired by Germany, Spain, Italy and beyond, alongside original recipes found only at this branch. A smoker installed in the restaurant turns out daily-changing smoked dishes using seasonal seafood, meat, cheese and nuts. Drinks are taken seriously, with more than 20 wines from a temperature-controlled cellar, craft beers from Germany, Belgium, Scotland and the Czech Republic, and the signature smoked whiskey - in-house versions of Kakubin, Chita and Hakushu, smoked to lend a unique adult flavour. Fresh vegetables are delivered direct from Proost Farm in Higashi-Ibaraki, and private rooms seat two to eight for dates, girls nights and birthdays. Dinner runs 16:00 to 23:00 daily, with weekend lunch from 12:00. For a smoke-kissed evening above the neon of Chuo-dori, Proost Tokyo is a satisfying, slightly grown-up detour.
