Sekirei

Bar Sekirei is an authentic cocktail bar on the first floor of the Nakadai Building at Sotokanda 4-8-3, a one-minute walk from Suehirocho Station Exit 1 and six minutes from Akihabara Electric Town Exit. The shop opened in September 2011 with a single mission - to bring a proper BAR culture to Akihabara, a district better known for arcades and anime than for stirred cocktails. The interior was designed by a master responsible for several of Ginza most celebrated bars, and the room balances that authentic cocktail-bar atmosphere with subtle Akihabara subculture touches that make it feel approachable. The bar seats twelve at the counter with an additional eight at tables, making it suitable for solo visits, small groups and slow business meetings alike. Jazz plays quietly in the background, the room is non-smoking, and the drink list covers classic cocktails, whisky and seasonal originals - including a house Sabana-bi cocktail created in collaboration with a nearby airsoft and military-goods publication. Hours run Tuesday to Saturday 18:00 to 02:00, Sunday 18:00 to 23:00, with Mondays closed. For anyone who assumed Akihabara had no place for a quiet, well-made cocktail, Sekirei is the elegant rebuttal. Push the door, take a counter stool, and let the master pour.
