About This Event / イベントについて
Throughout autumn, Kanda Myojin holds subsidiary shrine festivals (sha-chusai) across its grounds. September brings the Soreisha Autumn Festival and Higan equinoctial rites. October features Kotohira Shrine, Mijuku Inari Shrine, and Tenso Shrine festivals. November brings the Kagozo Shrine and Otori Shrine festivals.
The November Otori Shrine festival is closely linked to the Tori no Ichi — the famous rake market where merchants buy decorative kumade rakes for business prosperity. A short walk from Akihabara, these smaller festivals offer a quieter, more local shrine experience compared to the grand Reitaisai in May.
