About This Event / イベントについて

The Daikoku Festival at Kanda Myojin is a three-day winter festival dedicated to Daikoku-sama (Okuninushi-no-Mikoto) — the Shinto deity of business prosperity, good fortune, and marriage. Held January 16–18, it's one of the shrine's first major events of the new year.

The festival is especially popular with Akihabara merchants and shop owners, who pray for a prosperous business year. The shrine offers special Daikoku-themed amulets and goshuin during this period. A short walk from Akihabara — a quieter, more local event than the New Year hatsumode crowds.
